FLORIDAYS RESORT NAMED #1 FAMILY-FRIENDLY HOTEL IN USA AND #5 IN WORLD

ORLANDO, Fla., March 1, 2016 – Paramount Hospitality Management’s property, Floridays Resort Orlando, was named by TripAdvisor® as the number one family hotel in the nation and number five in the world.

No other resort or hotel in the United States garnered a top ten world ranking.

“It is absolutely one of the most prestigious honors a resort could win and we are quite proud of it”, said Jeff Swirsky, Floridays General Manager.

Unlike other industry awards, TripAdvisor’s Travelers’ 2016 Choice winners are based on millions of valuable reviews and opinions from travelers all around the world.

“That’s what makes this award so meaningful”, said Swirsky. “This is an endorsement of our property by the guests who stay here. It is a testament to our commitment in ensuring outstanding customer service from each and every team member at Floridays Resort.”     

Award winners were determined using an algorithm that took into account the quantity and quality of reviews from travelers on TripAdvisor, gathered over a 12-month period, with emphasis placed on reviews marked as a family stay.

Several Orlando area hotels were named to the national top ten family resorts list, which is indicative of how competitive the Orlando market remains, while being a world-class destination.

“Orlando is unique in that people from all over the world come here to visit the theme parks with their families, and there are so many hotels and accommodation types to potentially select. This is why awards as illustrious as The Travelers’ Choice Award is so important to us; it distinguishes us from our peers. 07/12/2012 - Floridays Resort Orlando’s GM Selected to Present Best of Class Practices at TripAdvisor Master Class.

Orlando, FL, July 10, 2012 –Paramount Hospitality Management’s Rod O’Connor, GM of the Floridays Resort Orlando, was tapped to be one of TripAdvisor’s expert speakers during their “Master Class,” held this week in Orlando at the Waldorf-Astoria Bonnet Creek.

When TripAdvisor was planning this Master Class in Orlando, they looked for a local hotel property who personified the successes resulting from leveraging the tools available through TripAdvisor. Having been ranked as the #1 hotel in Orlando (of 338 Orlando hotels) for more than a year, Floridays Resort Orlando, managed by Paramount Hospitality Management, LLC, was a logical choice.

Floridays’ General Manager, Rod O’Connor, presented, “Floridays’ Climb to #1. TripAdvisor, the Flag of Credibility,” to hospitality industry attendees from throughout Florida.  Rod shared the resort’s background and “secrets” which has allowed Floridays to work its way up to a consistent #1 position, since starting at #10 at its opening in 2006.

Kelley, Business Development Manager (TripAdvisor) Plus, Daniel Edward Craig, hotel consultant and author, shared the key principles for maintaining an outstanding online reputation.
