Alaqua Country Club

Description: LONGWOOD. This classic Gary Player design features a number of tee boxes making the course playable for all golfers. Built on wetlands, don't expect the ball to roll much in these fairways, as they are typically soggy. Playing from off of these fairways will lead to a long day, so hitting the landing areas is important. With trouble surrounding most of these greens, aim for the middle to avoid the high score.

Championship Course at Bay Hill Club & Lodge

Description: BAY HILL. This outstanding course is basically private, however guests of the resort are allowed to play without being accompanied by a member. These wide fairways will allow you to get aggressive off the tee. For those that like to take chances, this course provides several opportunities to gamble on shots that can either pay off nicely or penalize you severely. These greens are firm and guarded by mounds and bunkers, so high, soft approach shots will have the best chance of holding the green.

Description: WINDERMERE. This posh country club is extremely exclusive and boasts an outstanding course. With wide fairways, ample room is provided to hit the driver, but watch out for the trouble lining these fairways if you're not hitting it well. These greens are larger than most, well-mounded and very quick. Several tiered greens require careful club selection on approaches to avoid some treacherous putts.

Description: AIRPORT AREA. Be prepared for a test at this excellent course that will require every shot in the bag. Take advantage of the par-3's and the short par-4's because the rest of these holes will give you all you want. With three lakes in play, trouble can be found on just about every shot. Playing from this rough adds to the difficulty, so keep the ball straight off the tee for a better chance at a good score.

Description: WINDERMERE. The course is undergoing renovations until Fall 2010. Sit back and enjoy your round on this fair course that is enjoyable for all. With water on most holes, trouble is out there, but can be avoided if you play smartly. These greens are sloping, so try to keep the ball below the hole to avoid some difficult putts. Miss these greens and you will likely be scrambling for par from one of the many greenside bunkers.
